Assalamu Alykum.

I think maybe I was being a little harsh and also I was miss understood a little. What I meant was even after being warned by Brother Mabsoot (Abu Abdillah) and then In the thread you are referring to reminded be 'Al - Kahsmiri'. 'Some' continued to use the Urdu and in fact have not stopped. :( Which is why I and I am sure others inc. Moderators see as in appropriate and *stupid* behaviour.

There is nothing to forgive Sister. InshaAllah you can also us your intelligence/initiative and advise you friends. May Allah SWT guide us all. Ameen.

Note: I was not referring to all Urdu speakers but to those who used Urdu in that particular thread after being warned.

No offence intended. :) Wassalaaam.

Assalamu'alaykum,

Its just a rule of basic etiquette, try visiting the other TTI language forums and try to make sense of what some threads are about, you will find it difficult to do that and if you wanted to participate in those threads you probably couldn't do it.

Same idea here, if urdu speakers fill english threads with urdu and then a non-urdu speaker wanted to participate, they wouldn't feel able to, which isn't fair at all since this is an english forum.

Take a note of the rule and stick with it from now, theres no need to be upset over it, its just about being considerate to other forumites.

You shouldn't call yourself an idiot because in my opinion that 'immature idiots' comment was uncalled for and rude.

I really dont think it was such an aweful thing you've done. Dont feel so bad.

Insha'Allah it wasnt such a problem. And the mods on TTI are always wonderfully accomodating!

Also I dont think calling people "idiots" is part of the character of a Muslim.

Allah knows best.

P.S Next to Arabic I think Urdu is the next beautiful language... ;-)

Take Care Sis.

Asslam'u Alykum,

Yes, it won't and it shouldn't happen again by any of us. It is good that you realise, and are brave enough to correct yourself - unlike some people. So, may Allah reward you, sister.

And, yeah, we all need to remember:
This website is mainly in English, so thats the medium in which language should be used, other languages fit into the other parts of the website.

The Urdu section or other language sections will only be made when there are competent people to take care of it.

I have observed that urdu speaking brothers and sisters speak to each other in a way which is not within Islamic limits. My observation might be wrong....BUT ...why would you like to have useless talk with other non-mehram brothers or sisters in a blunt style. WHY???

Brothers need to learn how to interact sisters...and sisters need NOT to allow brothers to speak to them beyond certain limits. Teach them that you are respectable, dignified Muslim girl.....you have taqwa and piety...and they need to fear Allah before being blunt with you.

I assume my words would have offended many....but I am happy that I said this Alhamdolillah (I have been observing this since last 2 months).

i agree. its true. using words like *brother, you are so cute* or *sister, you are so funny* are not appropriate. though we are brothers and sisters in Islam, we are not *real* ones. we are still non-mahram to each other.

time to mend our ways (including me).

Funny how youre giong on about someone calling another by such names, and then you say you would say the same. What then makes you different? Let's not be hot-headed here. Apologies have been done with, we all make mistakes, with words and actions. And Allah forgive us all. :)

Asslam'u Alykum,

Brother, I think that has already been done. In the second post, it's mentioned he was reminded by moderators and by our ameer abbas. No? (First two lines of 2nd post)

And, its obvious he won't mean to say all Urdu speakers.

Let's calm down, brother. :) We shouldn't let go the oppurtunity of forgiving each other for the sake of Allah.

Wa'salaam
