Please forgive me for not being around much lately my dear brothers and sisters. I have had some computer issues and havent been able to get on the internet until just recently.

I have WONDERFUL news!!!!!!!!!!! I have prayed so hard since I took my shahada this year begging Allah to please guide my young son to Islam and alhamdulillah it has FINALLY HAPPENED!!!!!!!! My prayers were answered about a month ago when from out of nowhere my son came to me and said he thinks he wants to be Muslim. Really this took me by surprise because we werent even talking about Islam at the time. I had been mentioning Islam to him all along but not pushing or forcing him to make a decision and then the day came he told me that.

Ok so now the past 3 nights he has actually prayed Isha by my side. Of course he doesnt even know the words and mostly all he says is "Ameen" and "Allahu Akbar" but really its a start. It took me a full year to pray after I accepted I was a Muslim. He will learn little by little inshallah with my help and Allah's guidance but I am soooooooooooooooooooo happy he WANTS to learn. Allah really is the GREATEST. :tti_sister:

Please keep us in your dua and pray a little extra for my son to take his shahada soon.

Thats good news, sounds really nice, i bet it really felt great when he was praying with you and telling you he wants to be muslim

im sure everyone will pray that he will take his Shahadah .

I actually started to cry the first time he prayed at my side so it was difficult to say the words with a shaky voice. I explained to him I cried because I was so happy to pray beside him. Really that was exactly the truth but there was more to it that I didnt tell him. I was also so grateful that Allah answered my prayer. I didnt want to put any pressure at all on my son which is why I left out that part.

aww mashaAllah that must be amazing, you are a good example and thats why, by the grace of Allah, youre son wants to be a muslim. i felt like crying after reading what you posted. i remember reading a convert story where the man was a christian minister, after his conversion, his WHOLE family became muslim too! truely Allah guides whom He wills
