"It is not necessary for others to think exactly like you, or to agree with everything you say or do and you can still get along very well with them.

Learn to listen to others and try to understand their views. Then remember that they have their own minds just like you do and they may disagree with you just like you may disagree with them.

All this does not have to create hatred in the heart."

Many people choose to suffer not because they have no food or drink, clothing or shelter BUT simply because they cannot have what THEY want, when they want it and how they would like it.

The only time we will get what WE want, when we want it and how we would like it is in Paradise.

Never has the Almighty promised us that we would get everything we liked or wished for in this world. If that was the case there would be no purpose to create Paradise as it would have no specialty.

People become depressed, at times from an early because they have not understood the plan of the Almighty.

May He make us content with the share He has chosen for us in this world and grant us whatever we wish for in this world and in the hereafter! Aameen.

(No harm in praying, in fact it helps!)

"Whilst a man walked on a pathway he noticed a branch of thorns on it and removed it, so in appreciation the Almighty forgave him." (Agreed Upon)

What an amazing reward for removing harm from the pathways and roads used by people. The Almighty has laid so much emphasis on assisting fellow human beings, being considerate towards them and ensuring that they are as safe as can be.

If the reward of removing harm is so great imagine the sin of placing harm on a pathway! Then imagine the sin of causing harm to an individual whether physically or verbally!

Many have forgotten that we are required by our faith to be of greatest benefit to those around us and to protect them from any harm let alone harm them ourselves. Be conscious of this and earn forgiveness.

"Knowledge is an ocean that has no coast." So if anyone thinks they know it all, then what they have is something besides knowledge.

Keep swimming! It requires energy, dedication, sacrifice and continuity together with sincerity to acquire knowledge. Without an effort one cannot attain knowledge.

Knowledge wipes the frost off our glass and allows us to see much clearer.

The cycle of knowledge should be to keep on learning, putting into practice and conveying to others.

Getting rid of a bad habit cannot happen through prayer alone, but requires willpower, determination and a great effort with sacrifice as well.

When a bad habit is highlighted to us, never feel bad but rather appreciate that someone cares, even if the tone was not ideal.

It is common to hear those drowning in bad habits say, "Pray for me!" Prayer is indeed powerful, but hang on, if YOU are not going to do something about it then how is the prayer alone going to change things.

The Almighty Himself has said that we must work hard towards achieving whatever is beneficial for us. This means together with prayer BE STRONG!

Come on... kick that bad habit now! You can!

"Arrogance & pride is when one rejects the truth and despises people."

The Messenger pbuh makes it clear that wearing the best of clothing, living in the best of homes, using the best of vehicles etc does NOT mean that one is proud or arrogant.

However, when one denies the truth & belittles others thinking he is above the law & others are inferior then such a person is proud and arrogant even if they are not wealthy!

When a bird is alive it eats ants, yet when it dies, the ants eat it.

Circumstances can change at any time and the tables usually turn over a period of time. Do not oppress, despise or hurt anyone during your lifetime.

You may be powerful today but remember, time is more powerful that you! Just like one tree makes a million match sticks, yet when the time comes then only a single match is needed to burn a million trees.

"It is strange how we know with certainty that most of those who have died before us have been dead for a longer time that they were alive. We will also die and remain dead for a much longer time than we ever lived if the Almighty wishes so.

Why do we still seem to be engrossed in greater preparation for this short life than that of the hereafter which is incomparable? We must ensure that we prepare for death and what is to come after it in a more serious way, before it overtakes us off guard. At that point, regret won't be of benefit."

"When we have been entrusted with a secret of another person we should never divulge it to others as this would be a breach of trust which is a major sin. Many people think that they can use a password after which they let out people's secrets. That is "don't tell anyone but....". This is becoming very common.

This having been said, we must be very careful not to confide in people unless they are really trustworthy and there is a need to let them know our secrets. Most of those who think their secrets are safe would be surprised to know how, at times secrets spread faster than common news and are let out by those whom we would never believe would do so. Don't trust others easily and don't itch to tell."

"We believe that whatever gets to us was never meant to miss us & whatever misses us even by a fraction, was never meant to get to us.

If entire humanity gets together to benefit us, they will only be able to achieve what the Almighty has permitted them to achieve for us and if entire humanity gets together to harm us they will only be able to achieve what the Almighty has permitted them to achieve against us!

The Almighty is in supreme control so we should develop our link with Him through worship & obedience and seek from Him Alone."

"Those who are jealous of others are contesting the Decision of the Almighty, dropping their faith to a very low level. The Almighty is the sole Decider as to who will have what amount in terms of wealth, health, knowledge, beauty, intelect, wisdom, contentment, success in every aspect of life etc. Nobody has a say in this Divine Decree!

So when others are jealous of us, they are upset with the Almighty's Decision & have primarily declared war against Him before their enmity with us. What type of success would such a person expect in his or her own life?

This is why we have been warned of the detrimental nature of the damage caused by jealousy to our faith to begin with, to our other good deeds which are eaten away as a result & then to our overall well being. It never pays to be jealous of others in any way.

May the Almighty protect us from this dangerous disease. Aameen"

"In order to achieve contentment in life, the Messenger pbuh taught us to "Look at those who are less fortunate than yourselves".

The minute we compare our situation with those in a better position, we lose contentment and become ungrateful. This can also cause loss of even the little that we have. This applies in wealth, health, marriage, children and most other aspects of life.

However, regarding spirituality and worship, in order to achieve progress , the Messenger pbuh taught us to "Look at those who are higher than yourselves". This will make us aim high.

When we see others fulfill all their prayers, dress so appropriately, spend time and money seeking knowledge, learn the Qur'aan and quote it etc it should encourage us to to make an effort towards achieving greater closeness to the Almighty!"

"In the same way that we are taught to dress appropriately and correct our outward appearance, we are taught not to ignore the internal modesty, bashfulness, sincerity and truthfulness.

Guarding our tongues and hearts from diseases that are far more detrimental than inappropriate dress is sometimes ignored or overlooked even by those who appear religious. The worst experience is to be cheated, deceived, abused or sworn at by those who appear so godly.

Sadly, we have reached a stage where a growing number of people mistrust those who appear religious more quickly than they would do others. Never hide behind religious garb or appearance to defraud others or display unacceptable behaviour. It sets a very bad precedent and tarnishes the image of the true believers.

We should go the extra mile to ensure that we live up to what we are taught. Thinking that once we have the proper dress, we can do as we please is not what we are taught.

Let us realise that we must develop BOTH the inside and the outside and not just one."

What don't we have?

A roof above our heads, a plate of food, something to clothe ourselves with, a shoe to protect our feet, water to drink, body parts & general health, a school to go to, transport when needed even if it means public transport etc and the list is endless.

In fact we have all this & much more but sadly most of us tend to look at the few things we don't have & become so depressed & despondent. Is that fair?

We must face challenges in life & tests yet many are not prepared to be put through a single test without making it the biggest issue about it.

Most complaints are actually connected to luxuries & not necessities.

"Never underestimate the power of prayer!

Constant prayer, with full conviction, without loss of hope no matter how prolonged it may be, really does create miracles! What seems "impossible" for us is simple for the Almighty. Many have already seen this in their lives!

We are also taught to maintain closeness to the Almighty at times of ease & then during hardship He has promised to come to our aid.

Let us not be from those who only worship when they are suffering or when their lives are chaotic."

"Be grateful when you are blessed with a healthy child, male or female. Never be upset when you really wanted a boy but had a girl. She may bring much happiness & blessings into the home.

Those who become sad when informed of the gender of the child are forgetting that others do not have children at all. Such ingratitude is unacceptable from a believer.

The Almighty is The Decider & none has a say in His Decree! We pray the Almighty bless those with no offspring by creating for them that miracle!"

"Illness is a test that draws us closer to the Almighty by making us realise that He is the Curer! Hence we pray to Him & turn unto Him.

It acts as an atonement for our wrongdoings, cleansing us thoroughly. It is an opportunity to endure & be patient which elevates our status, earning us a lofty place in Paradise.

Never seek cure through prohibited means & never be angry at the Almighty for what He has chosen for us!"
