    As-salaamu `alaykum

Yeah, you're answers including the bonus are correct! When you said it was a give-away, I knew it was only a give-away for the one who had read the tafseer. But this is what I'm trying to arrive at here, to post questions that require even general knowledge, things that you can't google so easily too! Well done. We are so ignorant of the people we claim to follow. Allaah help us!

If nobody gets this by the end of ..next week? I'll add a bonus clue on top of the ones Samiha thought of for the current Sahaabi, inshaAllaah.

    A reminder of the clues:

    Wa-alaykum salaam.

assalaamu alaykkum wa rahmathullahi wa barakatuhu.

The name of the sahabi is Salamah ibn Al-Akwa'.
    Reference - The sealed nectar.

    Under topic 'Al-HUDAIBIYAH TREATY (Dhul Qa‘dah 6 A.H.)'
...This pledge goes by the name of Bay‘at Ar-Ridwan (a covenant of fealty). The first men to take a pledge were Abu Sinan Al-Asadi and Salamah bin Al-Akwa‘, who gave a solemn promise to die in the cause of Truth three times, at the front of the army, in the middle and in the rear....

Under topic "POST-HUDAIBIYAH HOSTILITIES DHU QARAD INVASION:"
...He (pbuh) added saying: “Our best horseman today is Abu Qatadah, and our best footman today is Salamah.”

    ....

Kindly spare me from asking the next Question.. *smiles*..wa salaam.

Wa-alaykum salaam wa rahmatullaah wa barakatuhuh,

Excellent mashaAllaah, correct answer. Theres variation on the number of times the bay`ah was given, I read three times as yourself, whilst samiha's source evidently stated it was twice. Thanks for referencing your post.

Lets review the rules, add a few details..

    - If you guessed correctly then you have to go next (really!).
    - Giving bonus clues is okay but no more than 2.
    - Reference your answers. Harvard style!*

Lets from now on stick to these tighter rules (my lazy self included!)

The next set of clues can be posted by anyone who wants to..

    * kidding! Just a book title or something.

assalaamu alaykkum wa rahmathullahi wa barakatuhu.

Yes, ukhti, After posting, i also read in another book, saying He gave bay'ah 2 times.

So for the Bolded part, i have prepared the clues, but im afraid, its too easy. Anyways.. Here it is,

    1) He's among those who restored his Father's name after the glorious verse abrogated the adoption, but He is not zayd ibn harithaah.

    2) He is considered as the first cavalryman of muslims. (i know its a giveaway)

    3) An earliest muslim, infact he is the seventh among seven who declared their Islaam openly and in public.

All the best.. include me in your du'aa. *smiles*

    wa salaam

    Assalam'alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

There are many, many of the Sahaabah who have not been mentioned in this thread so far, so I hope people continue to participate and revive our memories with regards to the extraordinary examples we have in the Sahaabah.

Remember we will be raised with those who we love, may Allaah cause us to be raised with the best of creation and the best generation, Ameen.

I think the referencing/no internet rule is a bit scary for forumites, but do participate anyways, try your best to uphold the rule, it wasn't put in place in order that the thread grind to a complete halt ..

Reminder of the current set of clues:

^wa alaykkum assalaam wa rahmathullahi wa barakatuhu
alhamdulillah. i am happy that the thread is active again..

    Time for some additional clues:
    1) He is the one who spoke in front of prophet pbuh representing muhajjirun before the battle of Badr.

    2) to him, prophet pbuh said "O _______ , Allah ordered me to love you and told me that He loves you."

(btw.. what is the rule if you don't get the answer to your question? should we ourselves post the answer????)

More rules? No problem, I seem to have an endless supply:

    - If it doesn't look like anyone will know the answer, then you may tell us the answer after some time.

    - Then, you nominate someone else to take the next turn; any member from the forum. That way we can get a more varied participation here.

    JazakAllaah khayr

    barak Allahu feekum
guess i have given enough time for this Q..(about 80 days... little too much)

so the answer is :AL- MIQDAAD IBN `AMR may Allah be pleased with him.

I nominate respected sister Al-Fajr (for imposing more and more rules on us...) for next question. *smiles*

    Assalam'alaykum,

Miqdad ibn 'Amr radiAllaah anhu - ofcourse, these seem very obvious once we know, and always for the one who asked the questions.

SubhanAllaah, it is too much, I admit. This thread is a witness to my dislike of chaos and havoc and my affinity for regulation and order. Apologies.

    1) This Sahabiyyah had four sons, all of whom where martyred in the Battle of Qadisiyyah.
    2) She, radiAllaah anha, belonged to the tribe of Banu Sulaym and ..
    3) ..was known for her poetry and eloquence.

This Sahaabiyyah is Khansaa radiAllaahu anha

I'm honoured. Thank you Sister Al-Fajr  Lol

Anyways, I will be offline for a brief while as I'll be heading home shortly. Perhaps, in the bus I'll come out with the clues, inshaAllaah.

    Till then. . .

    Assalamua'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,

I sincerely apologize for the VERY late post. Here it is but I bet it's an easy one.

    1. She is from the tribe of Bani Assad. (that’s a huge hint =D)

    2. She was one of the brave warriors who fought against the enemies despite the fact that she was a female to save her brother that has been captured. This braveness of hers truly amazed Khalid ibn Al-Walid and the other knights who initially thought “she” was a male.

    3. When she was imprisoned, she encouraged the other female prisoners to fight for freedom for die is more honourable to them than disgrace. Eventually, they were saved when Khalid and the army came but the women indeed contributed to the victory.

    Best wishes!

Oh! 'she' is Khawlah, sister of Dhiraar!=) The second and last clues actually did it for me..! I didn't even know she was of banu-Asad.. Her story is quite exciting, really enjoyed reading it!

    Salaam `alaik warahmatullaah!

Good job! She is indeed, Khawlah Al-Azwar. More stories about her:

    http://www.turntoislam.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55714

She was among the greatest females who always stood in front, at times braver than the Muslims brothers, Mashaa Allaah.

So, its your turn now Sister Suhaanah.

Actually, I just found out I won't be getting near a computer anytime soon.. So..*shrug*

1)Her(yes, a sahaabiyah again) first husband was one of the sons of one of the Khulafaa'ur-raashideen.

2)He, her first husband, was killed on the day of Ta'if.

3)Her last husband was first married to the daughter of one of the Khulafaa'ur-raashideen.

    Who was she?

*I honestly tried to not add in 'big' hints..and that^ is the result!=) Oh well..
Along with the answer, I want the name of the first husband and the how he was killed. And also, the name of her last husband.
PS. I think the husbands in this generation should learn from the said person's 'first' husband. He was just a...Maasha'Allah shaa`ir(in my eyes atleast=))

    Assalamu'alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

Excellent job sisters, this is what I wanted to see in this thread, sisters contributing information about Sahaabiyyaat.

Indeed she was truly brilliant, I was re-visiting the book Futuhushaam the other day and her bravery is unmatched, subhanAllaah, women aren't like that these days. I love her example, nowadays we're afraid of pretty much anything and everything ..spiders insects and stuff ..how shameful (speaking more to myself than any of you).

    Hmm ...*thinking* *thinking*
