Its Malay... spoken both in Singapore and Malaysia,,, and slightly different from Indonesian.Malay can be romanised(latin alphabet) or arabic alphabet.
Only thinل we have more alphabets than the arabic and we dont used the diacritical(َ ِ ُ ً ٍ ٌ ) We call this arabic writing as jawi ( جاوي. Anyway i think the present generation dont give much thought to jawi they rather read in romanised eh
eg -- house = rumah = رومه
eat = makan = ماكن

actually bro alkathiri, brunei also use malay language. it is was also a mother language for southern thailand (pattani) people.
