Today is the day I begin my journey to Morocco and I will be there tomorrow. My flight leaves tonight from Chicago in the USA and I will be on an airplane for more than 12 hours when I arrive in Amsterdam then change planes to continue my journey finally arriving in Morocco tomorrow.

I feel so nervous, scared, excited and very very happy! Please remember me in your prayers and ask Allah to watch over me on this incredible journey.

I will keep you updated on exactly when I make my shahada!!!! :tti_sister:

UPDATE..........

As-Salamo Alaikome.....

Alhamdulillah I made it safely to Amsterdam. I am now sitting in an internet cafe for the first time in my life in a country other than my own!!! This is amazing!!!!

I must say I have felt Allah beside me from the start of my trip. I have had a lovely trip so far. There have been no delays and I even had a full 3 airline seats to myself on the flight from Chicago to Amsterdam. I found that if you put the armrests up you can lay across the seats like a mini sofa and even though it wasnt my own bed I was able to get some sleep on the flight. There were some bumps along the way which kept waking me up but praise Allah I was able to get enough sleep so that I dont feel exhausted right now.

I was pleasantly surprised that most people here in Amsterdam speak english. Maybe not fluently but enough so I can get information (like where this internet cafe is!!!! LOL). At the last minute I was forced to travel with just American cash (no credit card or travelers checks) but so far being in the airport they accepted my money for what I needed.

Now I will continue my trip to Morocco in a few hours but I wanted to let everyone know my adventure has been a great experience so far. This world is so full of Allah's wonders and miracles. You should have seen the view out the airplane window that I witnessed today..........I dont see how anyone can deny Allah exists. They just need to open their eyes. I was close to him this morning and the awe I felt just brought tears to my eyes (which of course embarrassed me totally in public).

When I am coming back this way I will be a different person and Inshallah I will learn the prayer for the traveler because at this moment I dont know it and I am just reading Quran and praying in my own words. I will learn to pray the right way when I am in Morocco Inshallah and then I know I will really feel like a muslimah

I will update again once I arrive in Morocco later today!!!!!!

I cant answer that because when you are in the sky above the clouds and you look out the window there is no denying who created all that beauty from nothing. And just the thought of being way up there floating on air in that very heavy metal thing there is no denying that only Allah is holding you up there. How anyone can deny his existance is beyond me
