...I just gotta share this...
Some brothers from the masjid & I are good friends. We got a good community. We're on each other's facebooks, txt each other, joke with each other on Yahoo. We don't usually sit together during the khutbah so that we can focus on what's being said, but afterwards we all jump into one car (usually mine, it has A/C
) and go grab something from one of the halal restaurants nearby.
Then when its time for Asr as brothers we form a line behind one person as imam and pray. Shoulder to shoulder, toe to toe with the guys I was just laughing and eating (and making wudu) with.
You just don't find that sort of unity in Christianity. At least, I can say for a fact I didn't. There's something special to me about that - I have no Muslim family, but to pray together with good friends ... it just can't be duplicated.
Just thought I would share that good thought

used to sit with them and enjoy etc (like you normally would with your friends) but as soon as Adhan was heard he would rush for Salaah leaving us like we were strangers. Subhan Allah, that's the kind-of link we all need with Allah Azwajal.
