May Allah azz zawajal assist and protect the people of libya against it's tyrant and ahmaq ruler. Ameen

Wa `alaykum salaam wa rahmatullaah

Wa Iyyaakum Akhee, the translation is open for improvements.

Aameen, I just hope some people don't turn around and say that one should obey this oppressive Tyrant. May Allaah give the people of Libya a leader who will be of good for their dunya and Aakhirah.

Wassalaamu `alaykum

As usual, like most dictators they often think they are the solution of the problem when in fact, they are THE problem. Megalomania I suppose.

Three Egyptians confirmed dead in Libya as thousands flee violence
Feb 24, 2011, 16:58 GMT

Cairo - Three young Egyptians were killed and five wounded in violent clashes in neighbouring Libya's eastern city of Benghazi, the Egypt's armed forces confirmed Thursday.

According to the al-Masry al-Youm newspaper, two of the men were killed by gunfire while a third died of a knife wound in the neck. The bodies were flown to Egypt on Wednesday night.

The Egyptian armed forces, in control of the country after president Hosny Mubarak resigned following weeks of unrest, say that over 25,000 Egyptians had left Libya since violent clashes erupted in the country.
Between 1 and 1.5 million Egyptians live in Libya, according to Egypt's Foreign Ministry.

The Libyan man in this footage was holding a Quran when he was shot at by Gaddafi forces. The powerful bullet tore through the pages but holding out just enough to keep him safe. Amazing, God is great.

It's disgusting how these people loyal to the tyrants are attacking people while they are praying! Have they completely lost their souls to disturb people during salaat? The same thing happened in Egypt too.

May Allah help and support our brothers and sisters in Libya, and may they gain success for their efforts. Ameen.

All five convoys are privately funded, because the Union of Arab Doctors did not respond to a request for medical supplies made by independent doctors.

Probably being blackmailed by Gaddafi supporters not to do anything.

State of emergency for 19 years? Thats bloody insane!

Its just a phrase acceptable in democratic terms, but can mean nothing but military dictatorship if maintained for long periods of time.

I think its what Hitler used to consolidate his power over Germany in 1933, he knew he could destroy democracy from within by playing by the book and then just suspending the previous constitution. It was nothing but Democracy that helped Hitler to the top.

Its something to note that throughout the Third Reich the previous democratic Weimar Republic constitution was never repealed by the Nazis, it was just suspended yet Hitler effortlessly led by dictatorship throughout.

So for Algeria this is a significant and important step.
