HT have some skill in video making, organising massive conferences and protesting, not to mention some awesome vocal cords on their side, mashaAllaah!
It escapes me now as to who, but one of the `Ulemaa said the very people who are screaming for Khilafah in this age are most likely to be the first to recieve the hadd if/when it came about, just something to think about.
I was invited to a sisters convention recently, the organisers didn't mention it was a HT event, so I went along with a few other sisters, only to be bombarded with HT material left right and center, the speech consisted of a sister yelling at the audience about various HT style topics ..for goodness sakes there were children present, and you're talking about torture methods of Bashar al-Assad?
Then there was a presentation on the situation in Syria and Libya with Ahadeeth and Ayaat with clear music playing in the background - I found this particularly insulting.
The sister who invited me had the decency to text me afterwards apologising for any offence it may have caused me, in all honesty I would have just appreciated more transparency about the nature of the event, rather than being told it was merely a 'sisterhood conference'. It's a basic necessity to pitch it correctly, the sisters could have left their children at home had they known the precise contents of the dicussion, had they still wanted to be part of it, that is. What annoys me is that I know it was purposefully planned and executed in this manner to get maximum turnout, why trick people into turning up to a HT event? Pathetic.
