:salam2:
ever wondered:
if we had 10 prayers each with 10 rakaats daily...
if we had 2 months fasting and each fast of 2 consecutive days...
if we had to pay 25% as zakat...
if Hajj was obligatory every year...
if there was no room for repentence for sin....
if good deed was to be rejected due to lack of perfection....
so is not Islam an easy religion?
so is not Allah Most-Merciful, Most-Forbearing, Most-Patient?
I humbly beg to differ with you brother. Yes, Allah (swt) has definitely made "practicing" Islam "
easier" and every small good deed has its bountiful rewards.
However, "easy", is a relative term. What is easy for you, may not be easy for your next door neighbor. Praying 5 times a day may be "easy" for you (alhamdulillah, i hope you are in good physical health), but what about those people who are physically challenged, partially or completely? People who are dependent on others for their daily activities? Praying 5 times is still obligatory on them.
I have so many thoughts running, that I could end up writing up a whole essay (of course based on my opinions). But I will say this.
Brother, ahmed-indian, you have upscaled the circumstances and wondered. Have you wondered, the opposite?
if, we had to pray only 2 times a day and 2 rakah per prayer?
if, we have to fast only for 15 days and for only for 7 hours per day?
if, we have to pay zakah for only 1% instead of 2% on our savings (not income)
would then the muslim ummah proportionately increase in numbers or be proportionately steadfast in practicing Islam?
Al Qur'an Verse(5:3);
"This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor to you and chosen for you Islam as your religion.."
Allah has perfected the religion for us brother. He is the all-knower and all- wise. He has his reasons. We are mere mortals. We cannot comprehend, even an iota of, his reasoning.
Islam shows us the "straight/right" path. And by no means will it be an "easy" path. Every second of your journey on this path is tried and tested.
I personally, rather than contemplating how hard/easy Islam is, would concentrate on striving to stay steadfast to the right path.
Jaza Kallah.
