As Salamo Alaikome....

I think maybe some people on here have been waiting to hear this news.....

I HAVE TAKEN MY SHAHADA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally I am a new Muslim. The people I am staying with had a party for my honor yesterday and I took my shahada in the home. I chose the name Isra. Everyone sang songs and welcomed me to Islam then we read from Quran (actually they read in Arabic and I followed along in English). We had food and mint tea then we all prayed together.

So now there is no doubt that I am Muslim even though I believe I have been Muslim all of my life but I just didnt know it. I wasnt able to get the paper with my new name on it but its ok I dont really need it. I have been performing salat 5 times a day since I have arrived here and I know that a piece of paper wont make me more Muslim than that.

Alhamdulillah the day finally came!!!! May Allah keep us all on the straight path forever Ameen :tti_sister:

I do have one question...........is it possible to change my user name on the forum or would I need to create a whole new account to do so???? I want to use my new name.

I leave next Thursday 26th of March back home to the United States then this will all seem like the most perfect dream to me. I will live the rest of my life in Islam and my dream come true to die as a Muslim. I will remember you in my dua and please remember me in yours. You have been beside me throughout my journey to Islam and now that journey is completed and I am just soooooooooooooooo happy!!!!!!!! I feel like I have been reborn and what a wonderful gift Allah has bestowed upon me I cant even begin to explain how much this means to me. I am eternally grateful that Allah chose to guide me who is nothing but his servant and slave to this incredible religion. What a blessing this has been for me.
